Land Clearing
Land Clearing in Bozeman
A wooded or overgrown parcel has to be opened before anything else can happen. Itavb clears trees, brush, and undergrowth, then grubs out the stumps and roots below grade so the ground can actually be graded and built on. Whether the lot is a few brushy acres near Gallatin Gateway or a tight infill parcel off College Street, we match the equipment to the cover and the access.
Why Grubbing Matters More Than Cutting
- Roots cause settlement. Cutting a tree at grade leaves the stump and root ball to rot, which sinks a pad later. Grubbing pulls them out so structural fill sits on clean ground.
- A gradeable surface. Once the roots are gone, we can strip topsoil, balance the cut and fill, and hand off a lot that is ready to shape.
- Clean disposal. Debris gets hauled off or mulched on site, so you are not left with burn piles along Oak Street.
Our Process
We walk the parcel, mark what stays, and clear with an excavator, dozer, and skid steer as the cover demands. Stumps and roots are grubbed below grade, debris is separated for haul-off or mulch, and we rough grade the opened ground so the 59718 lot is ready for the next phase. Erosion control goes in wherever the SWPPP calls for it.
